VMF-112 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 82 aboard the Bennington. The carrier joined Task Group 58.1 on 8 February 1945 at Ulithi. Operating out of Ulithi, she took part in the strikes against the Japanese home islands (16–17 February and 25 February). |
