English: Caption:Photograph that has just been received from Germany, showing what happened to a Boche seaplane when the pilot endeavored to effect a landing on the roof of Herr Somebody’s house. The German inscription on the photo reads, “Verungluckre Landung eines Seeflugzeugs.” We’ll say it was, for the Heinie who was driving the plane, anyway.
Alternate title: "Ein FF.49 flugzeug stürzte auf Offizierskasino in Holtenau" A en:Friedrichshafen FF.49, two-seat reconnaissance seaplane/floatplane c1918. Out of the 3rd-floor window are a pair of Matrosen or sailors. Just visible "lozenge camouflage" on the aircraft's tail |
