Summary
editDescriptionCreech Grange and the Estate - geograph.org.uk - 1223888.jpg |
English: Creech Grange and the Estate Creech Grange was the home of the Bond family (after whom London's Bond Street was named) for over 300 years. It was bought by Norman Hayward the former chairman of Bournemouth Football Club in 1979, who together with his wife has spent the last 30 years restoring both the house and the gardens. Unbelievably this grade I listed house is currently under threat from a clay mining company, whose application to extract minerals would see the loss of some of the gardens, and the scarring of much of the surrounding countryside. |
