English: Creek formation on mudflat This image shows a new creek branching from the main channel on this section of mudflat. The managed realignment site created at Freiston Shore in 2002 dramatically altered the tidal regime of the surrounding area, and creek systems had to adapt and expand to cope with the larger volume of water being released on the ebb tide. |
