Summary
editDescriptionCrescent Presbyterian Church of Wales Chapel, Newtown - geograph.org.uk - 1141519.jpg |
English: Crescent Presbyterian Church of Wales Chapel, Newtown Built in Decorated style with a spire to the right of the gable end, the chapel opened in 1879 with a membership of 94 people.
It has been undergoing renovation for a couple of years. I'm not sure if it is currently in use. It stands on The Crescent, a roundabout at the junction of Milford Road, Crescent Street, Commercial Street and Broad Street, just north of the Long Bridge. |
Date | 2009-01-30. The chapel was closed in October 2002 due to part of the roof being blown off during a storm. It was re-opened after renovation in September 2009. It has numerous technical additions. It is used by the original Crescent Presbyterian chapel and by Bethel Welsh Presbyterian chapel and by Cape Coff Congregational chapel. The building and additional cabin is used most days of the week by local groups and societies. |
