English: Handwritten on verso: 4 m. bark Alsterschwann The Alsterschwann was built by T. Royden & Sons, in Liverpool. She was launched in 1891 for J.R. Haws & Co., of Liberpool. In 1910, she was sold to AG Alster of Hamburg and renamed Alsterschwan. She was sold to E.C. Schramm & Col., of Hamburg, 1912, and in 1913 to F.A. Vinnen & Co., of Bremen, and renamed Barthold Vinnen. She was given to Great Britain as war damage compensation in 1919, under the care of the British Shipping Controller of London, and broken up in 1927 in Toulon, France. |
