| Description |
At the National Tramway Museum in Crich. The Museum started in the 1950s / 60s when most of the old tram networks in the cities of the UK were being closed down. The Tramway Museum Society was formed in the late 1940s when the decline began and they started to purchase the trams, track etc. The Crich site came to the attention of the society in the late 1950s. They later purchased the site. At the Crich Tramway Village. Sign - Shut the gate The penalty is forty shillings for leaving this gate unlocked |
