On observe bien ici la crise de traînée : alors que la vitesse continue d'augmenter, la traînée diminue.
La crise de traînée est moins nette pour cette sphère.
La traînée est ici exprimée en grammes-force ; le gramme force est le poids d'un gramme sur Terre.
Pour cette sphère, la crise de traînée se traduit juste par une inflexion de la courbe de traînée. Lorsque l'on tire les Cx de cette courbe, cependant, la chute de ces Cx est très nette (voir File:Coefficient_de_traînée_de_trois_sphères,_Eiffel_1912.png ).
