Español: Iglesia de Santa María (Sanlúcar la Mayor). La escultura gótica más relevante en España del Crucificado en sus comienzos trecentistas. Segundo tercio del siglo XIV. Talla en madera policromada y dorada sobre cruz arbórea mediante tres clavos. Crucificado doloroso con acentuada y forzada disposición de piernas y pies, en el que destaca la asombrosa dulzura y serenidad de la muerte en su rostro. Es prototipo de un reducido número de notables ejemplares en la región. Procede de otra iglesia sanluqueña, San Pedro. |
