English: Crowden railway station (site) Opened in 1844 by the Sheffield, Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Railway (which changed its name to the Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway in 1847), this station closed in 1964, and the line closed in 1981. View north east towards Woodhead and Sheffield. The land has been raised since the railway closed. |
