Description
English: Cucurbita maxima commercial seed name "Zapallo Redondo Gris Plomo" (Argentina) - masculine flower (some petals removed), masculine bud (at right), leaf (behind them). In the masculine open flower, notice the 3 stamens tightly attached (the two dark holes seen at the base are the holes left at the base of each stamen, there are 3 in total), and the fused elongated anthers on top of them. In the masculine flower bud notice the hypanthium (at the base), the narrow elongated sepal lobes, and over them the still closed petals that look green. Partido de Rivadavia, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
