Deutsch: Stechmücken (Culicidae) sind eine Familie von Insekten innerhalb der Ordnung der Zweiflügler. Weltweit gibt es mehr als 2.500 Stechmückenarten.[1] In Europa kommen 104 Arten vor, von denen fast alle auch in Mitteleuropa zu finden sind.
