Français : Reproduction à l'identique, en résine, du diamant Cullinan, le plus gros diamant trouvé à ce jour, 3106 carats = 621,2 gr. Il a été trouvé en 1905, près de Prétoria en Afrique du Sud, dans la mine Premier. De cette pierre brute, il fut tiré 9 grosses pierres et 96 pierres plus petites. Les deux plus importantes pierres, Cullinan I (530,2 carats = 106,04 gr) orne le sceptre royal des bijoux de la couronne du Royaume-Uni et Cullinan II (317,4 carats = 63,48 gr) orne le bandeau de la couronne royale du Royaume-Uni.
English: Identical reproduction, in resin, of the Cullinan diamond, the largest diamond ever found, 3106 carats = 621.2 gr. It was found in 1905 in the Premier Mine near Pretoria, South Africa. The rough stone was cleaved into 9 large stones and 96 smaller stones. The two largest stones, Cullinan I (106.04 carats = 530.2 gr) adorns the scepter of the crown jewels of the United Kingdom and Cullinan II (317.4 carats = 63.48 gr) adorns the banner of the royal crown of the United Kingdom. |
