Summary edit

Description
English: Culmore Primary School, Omagh. I was speaking to a well-known local historian, Mr Stephen McKenna (nom-de-plume Raymond na Hatta) who writes a humorous weekly article called "As the man says" in one of the local newspapers, the Ulster Herald, and it prompted me to re-visit the former school on the Glenard Road, which is an extension of the Tamlaght Road.

Being told that there is a stone placed upside-down on the right hand pillar or in the boundary wall to the right of it, as you look at the front of the building with the letters G.C. 1880 standing for George Conway, who was hung in Omagh Goal. I looked at this for some time, during several changes of light from passing clouds, but was not able to verify the location of any such artefact. Mr McKenna did say that the stone was badly worn and could be difficult to locate.

With the help of Mr Eugene Floyd, I did find it later on, see 1531798.
