| Description |
English: Curling on Stormont Loch. A skip directs stones thrown by other members of his team (see 1654988). The skip in the blue jacket has just finished sweeping the ice in an attempt to make a stone slide nearer the centre of the house.
Compared to curling in an indoor rink, the ice is rougher, it takes a different technique to deliver the stone, and there are few opportunities for practice. So I was impressed how close these stones were grouped to the centre of the house. |
