English: Built in 1919, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by William Augustus Edwards of Edwards and Saywards, and was originally known as Petigru College, housing the University of South Carolina Law School until 1952, after which the building was renamed to Currell College, in honor of University President William S. Currell, who was the president of the university when the building was built. The building features a red brick exterior with arched windows on the second floor, decorative stone trim, a parapet with stone balustrades, eight-over-eight and six-over-six double-hung windows, small porticoes at the entrances with stone doric columns, architraves with triglyphs, and metal railings on the roofs, and a Modernist wing to the west that was added in the mid-20th Century. The building is a contributing structure in the Old Campus District, University of South Carolina Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
