| Description |
English: Cursus ... ... foiled again - by the weather. A fog is descending on Salisbury Plain, replacing earlier sunshine. The sun has melted frost on the south-facing side of this bank which marks the southern side of The Cursus (the northern bank is about 100 metres to the right). The purpose of this neolithic monument, which runs for almost 3 kilometres and pre-dates Stonehenge by 500 years, remains, as they say, thoroughly mystery-shrouded. On the left skyline are tumuli. |
