Summary edit

Description
English: Custom House railway station. The Victoria (as it was then before the acquisition of the Royal appendage) Dock opened in 1855 and the Eastern Counties Railway Company (ECRC) built a station here at the dock Custom House on their North Woolwich Branch. The ECRC quickly merged with other lines to form the Great Eastern Railway, and the railway survived through numerous changes of ownership until closure on 9 December 2006.

On the right is the DLR branch to Beckton and beyond that is the ExCeL Centre. The road on the left is Victoria Dock Road and the red brick building is The Flying Angel which was originally built for the Anglican Mission for Seamen. It is now used as residential flats.
