English: Cutting on the disused GWR built Bala-Ffestiniog railway This standard gauge line was built in 1882 and closed in 1961. There were a number of halts serving Cwm Prysor. The railway followed a shelf of cuttings and embankments along the northern slope of Cwm Prysor. A through road along the valley floor was not constructed until 1964.
