Summary
editDescriptionCwmbach railway station, Mid Glamorgan - geograph.org.uk - 3305908.jpg |
English: Cwmbach railway station, Mid Glamorgan. Opened by the Great Western Railway in 1914 on its Vale of Neath line from Swansea Victoria to Pontypool Road via Aberdare (High Level) and Quakers Yard, this station closed in 1964. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1988 but instead of going straight on to Quakers Yard, this view south east shows it now curving sharply to the right to join the ex Taff Vale Railway line southwards to Abercynon (which had originated in Aberdare Low Level, now gone). |
