Summary

Description
English: Open cast coal mine above Cwmgwrach, in the Neath Valley, South Wales. For most of the 19th and 20th centuries these coal seems were mined through underground tunnels. Now the only coal being extracted is through open cast mining. Beyond the open cast are photoelectric panels, and then the slopes of the upper neath valley, leading into the Brecon Beacons.
