Description
Cymraeg: Cynhadledd i'r Wasg- 27.01.21. Dr Frank Atherton Dr Rob Walford. Dechrau gweld gwelliant: Mae'r gyfradd achosion 7 diwrnod oddeutu 200 fesul 100,000 - traean o'r hyn ydoedd bythefnos cyn y Nadolig. Mae'r gyfradd positifrwydd-achos oddeutu 14% ac mae'r rhif R rhwng 0.7 a 0.9. Dydw pethau dal ddim y ddiogel - yn enwedig o ran GIG Cymru, ond mae na rai arwyddion o sefydlogi. Mae gofal dwys hefyd yn sefydlog. Brechwyd 313,000 o bobl (ychydig o dan 10% o'r boblogaeth). Cyfyngiadau: rhoddir adolygiad 21 diwrnod ddydd Gwener yma; os ydym am ymlacio ein mesurau yn rhy fuan, rydym yn gwybod y bydd y Coronafeirws yn saethu i fyny. Mae amrywiadau o firysau'n esblygu'n naturiol; o ganlyniad mae miloedd o amrywiadau wedi codi. Mae amrywiad Caint yn fwy heintus ac o bosibl yn fwy marwol. Mae bellach 50% o'r achosion trwy Gymru yn amrywiad Caint; bu 10 achos o'r amrywiad Affricanaidd.
English: Frank Atherton and Dr Rob Walford, Chief Scientific Advisor for Health for the Welsh Government Starting to see improvement: 7-day case rate is around 200 per 100,000 - a third of what it was two weeks before Christmas. Case positivity rate is around 14% and the R number is between 0.7 and 0.9. We're still not out of the woods - especially as far as NHS Wales is concerned, but some signs of stabilisation. Critical care is also stable. Vaccinated 313,000 people (just under 10% of the population). On course. Restrictions: 21 day review will be given on Friday; if we relax our measures too soon, we know the Coronavirus will shoot up. Mutations rise naturally; as a results 1000s of mutations have risen. Kent variant have made it more contagious and possibly more deadly. It is now 50% through Wales; there have been 10 cases of the African variant. Thanks to Public Health Wales, percentage of samples sequenced in Wales is the highest globally.
