Deutsch: Kleine Makelfliege (Cyrtopogon lateralis) bei der Eiablage. Die Eiablagen erfolgten in trockenes, sandig-lehmiges Substat im aufgeworfenen Wurzelbereich einer umgestürzten Eiche am südlichem Waldrand des Natura 2000 Gebiets "Brückerwald und Hußgeweid" (FFH-Gebiet 5119-301) bei Amöneburg, Mittelhessen. Gezeigt werden hier drei einzelne Ablagen; der gesamte Ablagezyklus dieses Weibchen umfasste etwa 20 Ablagen unterbrochen nur von kurzen Ruhepausen und Flügen zu weiteren Ablagestellen auf dem Wurzelballen. Er endete dann mit einer Reinigungsphase und anschließender Nahrungsaufnahme auf einem benachbarten Baumstumpf.
English: Robber fly (Cyrtopogon lateralis) during oviposition. The egg-laying took place in dry, sandy-loamy soil near a raised root area of a fallen oak tree at the southern edge of a forest. The forest was in a natural area called "Brückerwald und Hußgeweid" (FFH area 5119-301) in Amöneburg, Middle Hesse, Germany. Shown here are three individual scenes. First, the video shows the entire laying cycle where the female robber fly laid eggs 20 times interrupted only by short breaks and flights to other storage locations on the rootball. The cycle ends with a cleaning phase and subsequent food intake in a neighbouring area. |
