Description
Português: A Década da Ciência Oceânica para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável (2021-2030) foi proclamada pela ONU com o objetivo de conscientizar e unir esforços para reverter o declínio da saúde do oceano, além de apoiar os países na implementação da Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável.

No Brasil, o planejamento das ações para a Década é liderado pelo Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovações (MCTI), representante científico da Comissão Oceanográfica Intergovernamental (COI) da UNESCO.

Para marcar o lançamento oficial da Década do Oceano, uma série de eventos online foi programada nos dias 20, 21 e 22 deste mês. O objetivo é promover o diálogo e a reflexão sobre as ações urgentes necessárias para mobilizar a sociedade a se aproximar, conhecer, contribuir e proteger o oceano.
