Description

L'idée du concept du "parc de Saurupt" est à attribuer à Jules Villard, véritable initiateur et décideur dans cette ambitieuse entreprise. Il s'agit donc de lotir les terrains pour y construire un nouveau mode de résidence, façon cité-jardin privée "entre ville et campagne", selon les dépliants de l'époque.

Il s'associe au notaire Philippe Houot, à l'entreprise Fournier-Defaut au marchand de bien Eugène Nathan et à Emile André et Henri Gutton, deux des plus jeunes architectes de la ville. Citons également Lucien Weissenburger, Charles Bourgon et Henry Gutton dont l'expérience et la renommée font office de caution. (extraits du site web)
