Summary edit

Description

Looking to East Germany over the border (often called the zone border or Zonengrenze). No guard towers in sight. Döhren was the closest town in East Germany. Mackendorf was the closest town on the West German side.

As a bonus, this photo has a field of canola (or rapeseed, Raps in German), which gives great areas of bright yellow in northern Europe in early spring.
