English: Japanese destroyer JS Kongo (DDG-173) passes the USS Arizona Memorial as she makes her way pierside Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Kongo is the first Japanese ship with the capability to detect, track, and intercept short- to medium-range ballistic missiles. Later this year, Kongo is scheduled to conduct a flight test designated Japan Flight Test Mission-1, at Pacific Missile Range Facility, Hawaii. Türkçe: Japonya'nın Deniz Öz Savunma Kuvvetleri'ne bağlı Kongō sınıfı refakat gemisi (muhrip)'nin birinci gemisi Kongō (DDG-173) Pearl Harbor deniz üssünün iskelesine giderken. Arkasında USS Arizona Memorial görülmektedir (Oahu, Hawaii, 15 Ekim 2007). Kongō 18 Aralık 2007 tarihinde Kauai Adası açıklarında düzenlenen JFTM-1 (Japan Flight Test Mission-1) tatbikatında RIM-161 SM-3 standart füzesiyle balistik füzeyi düşürmeyi başardı. |
