  • Significance: Building 2827 provided space for operator maintenance of the various pieces of heavy equipment assigned to the pavement and grounds section of the base civil engineer organization. The building provided a covered facility for equipment inspection and servicing, minor maintenance, washing, and weather protection of assigned heavy equipment. Space was also provided for tool cribs, ground supply, bench stock and office space.
