  • Plate 7: Uniforms and insignia of the Kriegsmarine, the navy of Nazi Germany prior to and during World War II.
    • The Kriegsmarine full dress uniform (Grosse Uniform) was worn typically by officers ranked Korvettenkapitän and above. The uniform consisted of a double breasted midnight blue frock coat with epaulettes; when the Geman naval frock coat was worn with shoulder straps its use was describes as Formal Uniform, Formal Undress Uniform, Serice Dress and Walking-out Dress.
    • Naval jacket/tunic
    • The Uniform Jacket as Service Dress. The Uniform jacket was unique to teh German Navy. It was for both as part of the Service Dress and as a Summer Walking-out Uniform, when it was worn over either the blue or white jumper with the blue collar worn outside the jacket.
    • Epaulettes, shoulder straps and sleeve rings (cuff stripes) as rank insignia
