Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Bauerschaft Frohnhausen, seit 1901 Stadtteil von Essen: „In Rot unter zwei gekreuzten goldenen (gelben) Botenstäben, ein silbernes (weißes) Haus mit schwarzem Fachwerk und Tor.“ Das Wappen wurde von Kurt Schweder entworfen und hatte nie offiziellen Charakter. Ende der 1980er Jahre schuf der Heraldiker für alle Essener Stadtteile Wappen. Sie sind inzwischen von der Essener Bevölkerung gut angenommen worden. Das Wappen ist ein sogenanntes redendes Wappen"; die Botenstäbe spielen auf den Wohnsitz des "Frohnen" bzw. Gerichtsboten an. Das Haus steht für die Endung "-hausen".English: „Gules, below two cross herald staffs Or, a house Argent with timber framework and gate sable“
The arms were drawn by Kurt Schweder who designed coats of arms for all districts of Essen in die 1980s; they were never official used, but meanwhile recognized by the citizens of Essen and its districts. The arms are canting; the crossed staffs stand for "Frohn- (herald)" and the house for "-hausen" (house). |
