Deutsch: Hier handelt um ein Kuriosum - es werden zwei Wappenversionen geführt. Das Wappen entstammt einem Siegel von 1698. Es wurde am 20. Juli 1955 vom rheinland-pfälzischen Minister des Innern verliehen. Die Tingierung entstammt den bayrisch-pfälzischen Farben, zu der Mörstadt früher gehörte. Die Symbolik ist nicht geklärt. Das Achtblatt soll eine Rebenblüte darstellen, die Bedeutung der Sterne ist nicht bekannt. Möglicherweise steht ein Stern für die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Hochstift Worms; die Stadt Worms führt ebenfalls einen Stern im Wappen. Der zweite Stern könnte auf die frühere Teilung des Ortes hinweisen.
