Deutsch: Der goldene Dreiberg stellt die zentrale Erhebung des Schloßberges heraus und ist zugleich Sinnbild unserer typischen Landschaft. Die Liebenburg selbst wird durch den goldenen Turm symbolisiert. Dabei diente die Skizze eines Amtsschreibers aus dem Jahre 1613 bei der Turmdarstellung als Vorlage (3 Zinnen, 2 Fenster). Die beiden goldenen Lilien nehmen Bezug auf das Wappen des Ortsteiles Hirstein und auf St. Wendel (Kreis und Stadt tragen in ihren Wappen ebenfalls die Lilie). Gleichzeitig ist damit auch die Verbindung zum ehemaligen Kurtrierischen Amt St. Wendel hergestellt. Als Wappenfarben wurden Rot und Gold gewählt. Es sind die Farben des ehemaligen Herzogtums Lothringen, dem der Ortsteil Namborn über das Amt Schaumburg fast 500 Jahre zugehörte. Die Farben Rot und Gold finden wir auch in den Wappen der Herren von Sötern, die Lehensrechte an der Liebenburg bis zur Zerstörung der Burg besaßen. |
