Deutsch: In der Feudalzeit gehörte Nohn zum kurtrierischen Amt Daun. Den Rittersitz zu Nohn besaßen über mehrere Jahrhunderte hinweg die Herren von Hillesheim. Nach einer gefälschten Urkunde hätte Graf Heinrich im Jahre 970 der Abtei St. Maximin die Kirche Üxheim mit Zubehör Kapelle `Noyn´ geschenkt. Der Inhalt der Urkunde kann sehr wohl einen tatsächlich vorgenommenen Rechtsakt wiedergeben. Noch 1759, bei der Aufführung der Zehntherren von Nohn, wird St. Maximin an erster Stelle genannt. Als Hinweis auf St. Maximin, ist deren Doppelkopfadler im oberen Teil des Wappens wiedergegeben. Kirchen- und Ortspatron von Nohn ist St. Martinus. Sein Attribut das Schwert wurde ins untere Wappenteil aufgenommen. Das St. Martinus - Patrozinium weist auf eine sehr alte Kirchentradition hin. So ist bereits im Jahre 970 eine Kapelle in Nohn genannt. |
