Deutsch: Der Hirsch ist dem Wappen der Herren von Stollberg entnommen, die seit dem 12. Jahrhundert als Besitzer des Gebiets von Oberschwarzach belegt sind. Ihre Stammburg, die Stollburg, lag im Gemeindegebiet, wurde im Bauernkrieg 1525 zerstört und nicht wieder aufgebaut. Reste des Bergfrieds sind bis heute erhalten. 1236 kam Oberschwarzach an das Hochstift Würzburg, das in der Burg ein Amt einrichtete und nach deren Zerstörung nach Oberschwarzach verlegte. In der Bezeichnung Amt Stollberg zu Oberschwarzach blieb der Burgname erhalten. Das Amt umfasste in etwa das heutige Gemeindegebiet. Die Farben Rot und Silber aus dem Hochstiftswappen erinnern an die territoriale Zugehörigkeit zum Bistum Würzburg. Schlüssel und Schwert sind die Attribute der Heiligen Peter und Paul, denen die Kirche in Oberschwarzach geweiht ist. Die Pfarrei ist bereits im 12. Jahrhundert belegt. Der Wellenschnitt stellt die Schwarzach dar, die im Gemeindegebiet entspringt und die Teil des Ortsnamen ist. |
