Object history Symbolisch für die Nims ist der Wellenschnitt zwischen Schild und Schildhaupt. Aus dem Sternenkranz des heiligen Johannes von Nepomuk sind die drei silbernen Sterne im Schildhaupt entlehnt, während die Abtskrümme und die Farben rot und silber auf die Zugehörigkeit zur Reichsabtei Prüm hinweisen.
