Object history
Deutsch: Die Tanne und der Wellenbalken versinnbildlichen die Lage der Gemeinde im Bayerischen Wald und am Zusammenfluss von Regen und Teisnach. Die Tanne erinnert auch daran, dass in früherer Zeit die Land- und vor allem die Forstwirtschaft die Haupterwerbszweige der Bewohner waren. Der Wellenbalken redet zugleich für den Ortsnamen, der vom Fluss Teisnach abgeleitet ist. Die Farben Weiß und Blau unterstreichen die historische Zugehörigkeit zum landesherrlich-bayerischen Landgericht Viechtach (Mitteramt Böbrach). Das halbe Zahnrad verweist als Industriesymbol auf die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in neuerer Zeit. Teisnach ist seit 1881 Standort einer Fabrik für Spezialpapiere und seit 1970 eines Werks für elektronische Messgeräte. Seit 1971 führt Teisnach die Bezeichnung Markt.
