Description
English: „The arms was granted in 1955. It shows Saint Antony, patron saint of Tönisberg with the tau cross and the pig and the medlar flower (or Gueldrian Rose) to whom the municipality belonged."
Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) der hl. Antonius mit schwarz-silbernem (weißem) Gewand einem roten durchgehenden Tau-Kreuz in der Linken, einem silbernem (weißem) Buch in der Rechten und zu seinen Füßen ein linksgerichtetes silbernes (weißes) Schwein; im rechten Obereck eine rote Mispelblüte (Geldrische Rose) mit schwarzen Kelchblättern und silberner (weißen) Butzen. “ Das Wappen zeigt den hl. Antonius, Schutzheiliger gegen Seuchen bei Mensch und Tier und Namensgeber der Gemeinde sowie die geldrische Rose, die auf die frühere Zugehörigkeit zur Vogtei Geldern hinweist.
