Description WASHINGTON - Law Enforcement units across the Department of Homeland Security's components worked closely with Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of all those who attended the Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017 in Washington, D.C. DHS Law Enforcement personnel from U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Protective Service, Transportation Security Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard helped provided security including manning 38 screening stations near the National Mall, screening an average of 1,500 attendees per hour in support of the inauguration.
