Description
English: Steam locomotive Württemberg Tn is running light engine near Jagstzell in Baden-Württemberg, between Aalen and Crailsheim on the Crailsheim - Ulm line.

Württemberg Tn, the smallest five-coupled tank locomotive in Germany, here as DB 94 113 in 1958, Württemberg Tn, photographed near Jagstzell in Baden-Württemberg, between Ellwangen (Jagst) and Crailsheim on the Crailsheim - Aalen - Ulm railway line. The 94 113 has no headlight(s) and no signalling bell can be seen on the superstructure. 94 113 is probably the last example of the "Württemberg Tn", it ran on the Ludwigsburg-Markgröningen railway line until 1961 and was then scrapped in Tübingen. Note:

  • The stoker, with his arms folded at the left locomotive entrance, keeps eye contact with the photographer!
  • The photo was probably taken near the B 290 (federal highway 290), at a (field path) crossing near Appensee on the long straight line between Stimpfach and Steinbach a.d. Jagst. Here the Jagst flows - recognisable by the rows of riverside trees in the distant background - not as close to the railway line as south and north of Jagstzell. In any case, the camera position given below is not correct, as it points to a field southeast of Jagstzell near Dankoltsweiler. The level crossing at Appensee assumed above is about 1 km NNW of the level crossing Stimpfach, and about 7.5 km south of Crailsheim station. (Translated with DeepL.com (free version)).
