Description

Feeling pensive of this mother about the marriage and interesting talking by my translator guide The Chin are one of the large ethnic minority groups in Burma. The Chin people are of Tibeto-Burman groups and they probably came to Burma, especially the Chindwin valley in the late 9-10 century AD. Most Chin people moved westward and they probably settled in the present Chin State around 1300-1400 AD. The original meaning of "Chin" remains obscure. This tattooing tradition started centuries ago, when Chin tribes started tattooing the girl's face to avoid them from be captured as slave by the men from other tribes people For now some old women keeping this traditional tattoo as spider's web design . Photo taken in the Chin Village near Lemro River

I have meet these two women about honeymon célébration in the Chin Village and i like their happy feeling and calm face !
