Description

A light has been here since 1871. This Munroe Point Lighthouse was built in 1907. The tower stands on land about 12.2 meters (40ft) above high-water mark. It is 9.75 meters (32ft) high from its base to the top of the ventilator on the lantern. The light was a fixed red dioptric, 20.4 meters (67ft) above high-water mark, and visible 9 miles. This light was deactivated in the 1960s.

The lighthouse has been modified over time with an addition added to the side of the lighthouse, lantern room replaced with a larger room and a larger deck on the water side.
