Description Almshouses erected circa 1715 by the Ironmongers' Company on land purchased by the bequest of Sir Robert Geffrye (d 1704). Almshouses acquired by LCC in 1910 and opened as a museum of the furniture trade in 1914. Now the Geffrye Museum of the Home.
