English: Da San Yuan in mahjong.
When the winning hand contains three pongs of all the dragon tiles, it is called Da San Yuan. The pongs are Zhong, Fa, Bai. In this particular example, if the 4-5-6 circle chow meld were replaced with pong of any kind, the score of dui dui hu could be added. The three pongs take up 9 tiles in the hand. The remaining 5 tiles, a meld plus a pair can add score to the winning depending on what they are. For example, if this meld and pair were of the same suit, you also get a hun yi se. If they were all of terminal suit, you also get a hun yao jiu. When the hand falls into an additional category, the score stacks up.中文:大三元 |
