Description
English: Daffodils show it's Spring. Some daffodils in full flower, there are several other alongside this clump too. Giving a nice splash of colour to the reserve, in a few weeks' time this will be full of orchids and other flowers while the bulbs sleep. A few moments later I saw a snake but it slithered away too quickly for me to get an identification. However after further research I think it was a sunbathing Smooth Snake, very rare in Britain http://www.wildlifebritain.com/thesmoothsnake.php
