Not in the Museum but a big part of my computing life. The Logician (and also GateMaster and ChipMaster) was an x86 based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Workstation. I first used these when I joined Daisy in 1983. We subsequently moved to also using IBM-PCs (Personal Logician) and the Sun 386i (Daisy was one of the biggest users on 386is) before moving to SPARCStations . All a bit ironic in a way in that Vinod Khosla started Daisy to produce workstations to do engineering design. He then left and founded Sun which eventually provided the replacement general purpose workstation that Daisy software ran on. |
