Summary edit

Description
English: Dar al-Hadith al-Ashrafiye (1237), a Koranic school which reflects the return to basic Sunni traditions under the Ayyubid ruler al-Ashraf Musa

Turba al-Takritiye (or Madrasa Tabutluk), a mausoleum to Taqi al-Takriti (died 1299) who was a senior official under Qalawun, it stands opposite the Dar al-Hadith al-Ashrafiye.

The Madrasa Atabakiye has a fine honeycombed entrance. It's erected in memory of Tarkan Khatun, daughter of a ruler of Mosul and grand-niece of Nur al-Din (d. 1242). Its square minaret is apparently a later addition.
