Summary

edit
Description Timber oatgrass dominating a relatively dry meadow at the head of the North Fork of Hell Roaring Creek below Gallatin Peak. Such a view of this grass species is common throughout the mountains of western North America. Even with the florets dispersed, the club-shaped flowering heads bearing large papery glumes are diagnostic.
