Crash was born Jan Paul Beahm on September 26, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. He founded the punk rock band the Germs in 1977, adopting the pseudonym Bobby Pyn (which he later changed to Darby Crash, by which he is most well-known). He was the band's singer, frontman, and songwriter until his suicide by intentional heroin overdose on December 7, 1980 in Los Angeles at age 22. |
