| Description |
A very friendly and likable English guy who married someone from here and then eventually retired here. I have met him quite a few times along the fishing spots on the Quoile Basin (mostly when I am walking the dog and once when i was fishing too) We always have a stimulating and agreeable chat about fish and fishing. He was catching plenty of perch today which is actually very unusual for the Quoile in recent years. he was using a double maggot (one red one white) close to the bottom on a relatively heavy float (3 swan shot) and the wind was coming directly towards him and bringing the float in quickly on each cast. He was supposed to be home an hour ago but was catching too many fish to leave just yet. ...A dog walking conversation and observations ...good to talk and think and reflect as you walk on. He has no idea that i took this picture, but I know he wouldn't have minded. This song always comes to mind when I feel like this...
