Since I love books, I visited British Library rather than British Museum. I had a guided tour of British Library and found it a fantastic library. It is not just a nice library for sightseeing, but also to use some researching. It has such a sophisticated system to find out books you need and pretty nice modern appearance. Oh I'd love to live near by this library and use it everyday if it is possible :)

本好きな私は時間が無かったので大英博物館はあきらめて大英図書館に行きました。ガイド付きツアーに参加したところ、観光にだけではなく調べものをするのにも素晴らしい図書館だということがわかりました。地下に巨大な本の貯蔵室があり、スタッフさんにお願いすると本を取ってきてくれて、それを最寄のカウンターまでベルトコンベアーで運ぶ仕組みになっています。カウンターに本が到着すると利用中の机のランプが点灯し、知らせてくれる仕組みなので、本が到着するまでは集中して読書ができるというわけです。できることなら近所に住んで毎日この図書館を利用したいものです。
